1910. Walther P38K; Carl Walther Sportwaffenfabrik, Ulm/Donau, 1974-80. 9mm Parabellum; 70mm barrel. Eight rounds. This short-lived variant of the P1 differs from the standard gun only in barrel length and the repositioning of the front sight on the slide.

1911, 1912. Walther P88; Carl Walther Sportwaffenfabrik, Ulm/Donau. Announced in 1986, but not made in quantity until 1988, this military pistol has a staggered-column magazine and a Browning-type tippingbarrel breech lock. The double-action firing mechanism incorporates a de-cocking mechanism and an exposed hammer. A P88 Compact appeared in 1991.
